About the Author

Stefan first traveled to China in 1986 and worked in Hong Kong and Taipei for more than four years as a corporate trainer teaching in-house MBA programs for such clients as: Acer Computers, Datung Electric, Formosa Plastics, Amsterdam-Rotterdam Bank, The Ritz, and Golden China Hotels, and Re/Max International. He also published several business articles for Business Taiwan Weekly.

Stefan is a member of the Canadian Society in China and also worked as Chairperson for the City of Vaughan, International Economic Development Committee, in charge of  facilitating the 'Twin Cities' partnerships with cities in Japan and China.

In 2000 Stefan was the public relations liaison traveling with a group of Venture Capital Fund Managers on a tour of  new industries and development projects, from Beijing to Shanghai, and Shenzhen.

The China Internet Venture 2000 was the first of several conferences planned to fill the needs for investors to locate Internet investment opportunities in China and for entrepreneurs to secure capital to grow their start-ups. This conference was the first one of its kind in China to bring together people from all over the world with the same vision and interest to explore and develop this under-served market.
