 illustration, attacker grabs defender's hand

Attacker

Stand in front of your partner and use one hand to grab your partner’s wrist.

 Illustration, defender kicks attacker's shin

Defender

Distract the attacker by stomp kicking his/her shins

Illustration, Defender grabs her hands together

Don’t try to pull away. Instead move in and bring your body close to the arm being grabbed.

Grab your own hand and clasp your hands together

Illustration, Defender pulls hand out of attacker's grasp

Turn away from the person grabbing you using your whole body

Illustration, Defender strikes attacker on nose with backfist

Finishing Move

Since both hands are clasped together and the defender is close the defender can suddenly reverse the escape move and hit the attacker with a back fist strike mid level to the abdomen or higher up to the face and jaw

Tips: Make sure the forearms are kept tight across the abdomen and that the student twists his/her body quickly to escape.
